IT’S TIME FOR SUMMER FUN!

Ages 11 - 30 years - LIMIT 12 CAMPERS

Monday –Thursday, 8:30 am - 3 pm from June 6 - August 4, 2022

Residents: $300/ 2 consecutive weeks, $700/ 8-week registration

Nonresidents: $380/ 2 consecutive weeks, $780/ 8-week registration

NO DOOR-TO-DOOR TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE

Our outdoor adventure camp is located at the Stone Shelter in Glenwood Park.  The day camp provides the participant the opportunity to enjoy socialization with friends and to discover some great adventures along the way.  The crafts and games are theme based to everyone’s “favorites” throughout the week.  We have ceramics studio time planned as well as the campers will have some water fun and swim one day a week at the Glenwood Pool.  The campers are expected to arrive to the Stone Shelter no earlier than 8:30 AM and be signed in for the fun day.  The pickup of campers will be at 3 PM at the Stone Shelter. 

The campers are to bring their own lunch and water bottle each day.  The campers are also to bring their own sunscreen and bug spray for self-application.  There will be limited walking field trips around the park to fish and to hike and look for treasure as well as short local travel field trips to discover the community.  We plan on touring the WIU Student Rec Center and try out the sport Pickle Ball, visit Horn Field Campus for a morning hike and lunch, assist with a community garden once a week, volunteer at the McDonough County Humane Society, and go to the Farmer’s Market and make a meal with the purchases.

July 4 – 7 - NO CAMP

Week 5 - July 11 – 14 – Animals of the World theme

Week 6 - July 18 – 21 – Kindness is Forever theme

Week 7 – July 25 – 28 – Under the Sea theme

Week 8 – August 1 – 4 - Lost in the Forest theme
