Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness; demonstrate courage; experience joy; and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympians and the community.

MCSRA is proud to offer competitive Special Olympics opportunities for both individuals and teams (depending on sport/season).

As of December 2025, Special Olympics will use the COE portal for all registration and paperwork required to participate in sports and events.
