Let’s go camping!

Let’s go camping to Camp Courageous!  We have planned an overnight full of fun at Camp Courageous located in Monticello, Iowa.  Be ready for a fun filled evening of games and activities and sleeping overnight in the cabins.  We will then have a fun morning of breakfast and activities before we leave to go back home with heads full of stories.  Check out their amenities at https://campcourageous.org/.

Please note:  Participants must have independent self-help skills and be willing and able to stay with the group.  Staff are not trained or allowed to assist with toileting, changing, or bathing the participant.  Participants must be able to work successfully in a 1:4 staff to participants ratio, display appropriate table manners.  MCSRA staff reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of participants for this event.

Ages 21 and older

GOALS/OBJECTIVES: This program is designed to assist the participants to improve their socialization skills, increase their leisure education, and increase their interaction with peers.

Time: Friday 3:00 PM – Saturday 4:00 PM

Location: Drop off and pick up will be at the Macomb Park District business office, 1406 N. Randolph Street, Macomb.  

Deadline to Register and payment due: October 28, 2022

Fee: R: $170.00/NR: $200.00 – this includes all staffing, activities, food, and transportation

Minimum Participants: 4

Maximum Participants: 8
